After years of use, the rope had destroyed the groove on the existing sheaves. Sheaves Canada reverse engineered the old sheaves and produced six new sheaves as drop in replacements. Sheaves Canada completely disassembled the old sheaves, reverse engineering with new bearings, hubs, cover plates, and even grease ports just like the old ones. For increased longevity the grooves were flame hardened.
After installation of the new sheaves, the customer commented "They fit perfectly."
With the new sheaves installed, the customer was able to reinstate the tower crane back into service to be used for years to come!
